The disappearance of the Certificate of Aptitude in librarianship (cafb) has been badly received by the profession. The new recipients of territorial competitive examinations have been chosen on the basis of their general culture. They are not specialists in either the book and other media, or, with the exception of qualified assistants, in documentation techniques.
