- With the aim of investigating the continuing education of librarians from public State of Paraná universities, this research collected data of 35 librarians of five libraries. A questionnaire was used to verify the type, way and frequency of continuing education these librarians pursued and their attitude and satisfaction in regard to this form of formation. The results seem to demonstrate that the professionals recognize that continuing education is very important for their improvement and updating and it makes a difference in their work, being a guarantee for qualification and permanence in the labor market.
