- The theme of this article is Information Management and it was supported by knowledge organization and information collection in order to identify the number of student-researchers who were given grants to perform their researches and their scientific production in FIOCRUZ during the period of 1993 through 2005. The names of the student-researchers are in an existent database that contains the names of research-student grantees, their diverse forms of productions and the events they have participated. A survey was made by the grantees’ full names and the productions they made after they had received their grants. The purpose was to track their academic life in a way to confirm the objectives of PIBIC and highlight the contribution made by FIOCRUZ to national education by means of the participation of students in institutional scientific production and continuing formation. The evaluation of such expected contribution was possible by Information Science.
