- This papers reviews how gender studies are represented in information resource directories available on the internet and explains the best search strategies for locating web pages about Women’s Studies. The methodology used is based on a sampling of five US/UK search engines with hosts in Spain and with Spanish translation. The differences between these are studied, with a special emphasis on the position occupied by Women’s Studies in the hierarchical structure of their thematic indexes.
