- Saarland University and State Library (Germany) is not only the academic library (1) of Saarland University, it also acts as state library (2)for the region Saarland and as Special Subject Collection for Psychology (3). For each of this functions it offers an Open Access Repository: 1) SciDok 2) SaarDok 3) PsyDok Eager to offer well-tailored services for each community (authors and readers) the repositories of Saarland University and State Library can be regarded a sort of Open-Access-Microcosm. This article therefore gives an overview on Open-Access-Services and initiatives on the three levels of an university, a discipline and a region.
