- University libraries must encourage graduates to become responsible professionals who know how to learn throughout their lives and engage in business with ethical principles. The libraries are facing the challenge of achieving recognition by the university community, as effective tools for improving the education of students. If we really want people to be better prepared to face the challenges of information society and knowledge, we should offer our experience and our know-how. In this paper offers a state of art about information literacy. It also offers a model of the steps and materials needed to set up a course on skills in information on each degree from the University Complutense of Madrid.
