- The Digital Preservation Project in Argentine libraries is coordinated by the Central Library of the Exact and Natural Sciences Faculty of the University of Buenos Aires. It was set up as a means to meet long term preservation needs of digital collections in libraries, and to bridge the lack of digital preservation policies and practices in the country. The project collaborative institutional framework, objetives, steps and expected results are described. In addition, the results of a diagnosis of digital preservation situation in 12 Argentine libraries are summarised and analised.
