Análise temática dos trabalhos de conclusão de curso da Faculdade de Biblioteconomia da PUC-Campinas de 2001-2006

- The Brazilian undergraduation library courses seek to develop research grounds on their students especially through the final monograph usually called TCC. Thus, the current research aimed at identify and analyze the subjects of the TCCs from the graduates from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, SP, from 2001 to 2006, making it possible to know the subject trends most chosen by the students. The exploratory quail-quantitative method was utilized together with the documental research. In all, 114 documents had their titles and key-words analyzed; the subjects were categorized according to previous studies developed on this theme as well as the Information Science National Research and Postgraduate Association’s Working Groups (ANCIB). In relation to subject categorization by frequency, the most studied themes were: Management of Information Services and Units (22,81%) and Users’ studies, Information demands and uses (21,05%). When ANCIB’s Working Groups were considered, the groups that gathered the highest number of papers were: GT3 – Mediation, Circulation and Use of Information and GT4 – Information and Knowledge Management, both with 21,93% each from the total amount of papers analyzed. The keywords most frequent were: Public Libraries in 11 papers, University Libraries in 10 and Data base, Information’s Science, Reading, and Information Professional in 8 monographs. The research results indicate that the concentration in two themes is similar with other studies in the library field from other Brazilian universities.
