- Education of librarians at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels has been conducting on the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade since 1962 as well as 1981, and since 1990 in today’s form. Relation between theory and practice has been established through direct cooperation with libraries and related cultural institutions. The reform of education, that is underway, provides the consideration of new rules and, in the same time, both flexibility and multi- disciplinary forms of acquired education. Development of the cooperation with foreign universities is our pass into modern trends. The fact that our diplomas are successfully validated by the foreign universities confirms that we are close to them.
