- In this work Daniel Cosío is developed to a technological model for the instrumentation of a Portal in Biblioteca Daniel Cosío Villegas (BDCV) of El Colegio de México. In the first chapter one appears in general form the components that contributed in the exponential development of the Internet. In the second chapter, it is spoken as much of the application of the technologies of information in the libraries and of the importance of the use of international norms in his application, as in his use and storage of information, in addition the theoretical bases of the Portals are provided, to help to understand plus the new surroundings of the handling and access to the information and the knowledge. The third chapter, narrates of general way the history of the application of the new technologies in the automation of the BDCV. In the fourth chapter, the general planning of the Portal for the BDCV appears.
