- This paper (Education and practice of librarianship: differences between classroom and professional work) presents the results of a series of interviews made to alumni of the undergraduate program in Library and Information Sciences at the School of Philosophy and Letters, at the Nuevo Leon Autonomous University (UANL) in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, who are economically active, to find out about their personal vision of the B.A. LIS program at UANL, and how the LIS B.A. program has influenced in their jobs. It also presents a qualitative analysis of the interviews. Also this paper shows the various curricula from the LIS B.A. program at UANL.
