Daftar Isi:
- A review of publications from the year 2000 to the present demonstrates the current status of library services in indigenous Latin American communities. Different studies attempt to demonstrate the situation by considering several aspects such as the structure of the library collections, services, utilization of systems, and training of library personnel. This work intends to demonstrate how the subject has been treated and offers a diagnosis of the situation in the Latin American world, and concludes that it is very important to create library services in those communities whose cultures are in danger of extinction. As contextual information, a collection of statistics set forth by some of the authors is included, as well as a directory of authors and institutions that are involved in the subject of indigenous libraries.
