- This paper analyze the relationship and influence among Latin-American scientific journals, not indexed by Thomson ISI citation databases, in the field of Library and Information Science. Three measures of journal status: Influence Weight, Importance Index, and Measures of Standing have been calculated for the set of journal studied. These indicators are analyzed like an alternative way to evaluate journals in the framework of library and information science scientific community in Latin-America.
