- Libraries are the institutions that exist with information and evolve and change according to the quality and quantity features of knowledge. These institutitions have come to front with principles such as creating products using information, producing information to reproduction after storing produced information by means of information society, along with its defined parameters and dynamisms for last fifteen years. Additionally, comunication and information technology as the backbones, as well as the key features of information society that lead to the changes in policies and services of libraries. However, such a radical and quick movement have brought some disadvantages in addition to some changes concerning both libraries and librarians. To cope with those challenges it is necessary that libraries and librarians, and professional associations should develop new policies and applications.
