- In the field of document and knowledge management, the Government of the Principality of Asturias has developed an ambitious project called SIDRA (Asturias Online Document Information System), which has been conceived as an integrated system that, supported by a single tool, deals with the treatment, recovery, distribution and lending of all kind of documents or information, public or restricted, required to carry out the functions of the Government. SIDRA does not deal with documents deposited in public libraries and administrative files deposited and kept in the archive. In both cases, the documents are supported by specific applications.
