- This paper presents a sum of problems in designing institutional repositories, as well as the basic criteria and policies followed for their confrontation. It is referred to the development of Pandemos (http://library.panteion.gr/pandemos). More concretely, is analyzed the reflection of choice of metadata schema in combination with the use of authority files in the digital library. Τhe subject integration of the repository with the main catalogue and some interoperability issues are discussed.
