- In the current age, which is distinguished for the progress of technology and information the libraries have conspicuous place in the academic services of universities that are addressed in the instructive personnel, as well as in the students but also in the exterior users of libraries. In the frame of program E.P.E.A.E.K. titled “Pythagoras - Aid of Inquiring Teams of University Macedonia”, is held research titled “Investigation of Most optimal Practices: Growth of database from most optimal practices (Best practices) in administrative and organisational operations of universities of country”. Part of this study constitutes the investigation of most optimal practices from the libraries of Greek Universities. For the concretisation of research was realised recording of libraries of Greek universities. Followed the creation of questionnaire, which was based on qualitative and quantitative criteria, which was sent in all universities of country rectors in order that, it is transmitted in the persons in charge of academic libraries. Also were realised visits in the libraries of educational institutions for the collection of elements as well as search of information from the web pages of libraries. The particular statement will include the results and the recording of most optimal practices of services of Greek academic libraries, that corresponded in the research, as well as report in most optimal practices of services of library in foreigner universities.
