- The libraries as live organisms with objectives, results but also evaluations are able to use statistics as a tool of measurement of efficiency and effectiveness. Until now use of statistics from the libraries in Greece and in international level is focused mainly in the analysis of quantitative variables and belongs in the monodimensional or two-dimensional analysis. With the present work we appear a new model of statistical treatment and analysis of data emanating from the area of academic libraries proposing new, for the libraries' data, methods of multidimensional statistical analysis qualitative and quantitative variables. Methods, as the element's analysis of equivalences and the classification at serial hierarchy, were applied in data emanating from the users' searches in opac in an academic library. The results of methods are presented with the form of determining level and with the tree-structure form and the conclusions that were exported are reported in the behavior of users toward OPAC and in the operation of the catalogue.
