- In the immediate future e-journals surely will be the answer to traditionals problems faced users and libraries in journals management. We are currently in a process of transition from the traditional model of printed journal to a new model, even that is not clearly defined, so few libraries that have replaced their paper subscriptions for electronic editions, in the same way they did the replacement of repertoire bibliographic paper to electronic versions, first in CD-ROM and then online. At this to join together with there has been calling "journals crisis", when that began in the late 70 there was a fall in the number of personal subscriptions. This led to publishers carry their losses the prices of institutional subscriptions, while libraries were in a phase of budget cuts, that forced the cancellation of subscriptions, new resulting in losses for publishers, the effects of which were a spectacular rise in prices. In this picture all hopes are focused on the electronic journals definitely replace journals on paper and lower costs for producers of information, the authors, as well as for consumers of information, libraries and their users primarily. Even talking about "death of biomedical journals" as we know them today, which justifies our interest in the present work.
