- Records systems are one of the most important component of e-government applications. Reliable permanent and shareable data tranfer among institutions by records systems formed in government institutions requires to select data systems and data structures among solutions depending on open standarts. Hence, government records systems have to be formed by softwares depending on open standarts operating upon operation systems with open source code. In addition, in these systems, records production has to be carried on shareable records structures specifically XLM. Records produced according to shareable records structures have to be cataloged with metadata. In these paper, it is examined whether these features of records existed in records systems of Turkish government instutions and made some propositions according to this situation.
