- The Mekar Jaya Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU) is one of the cooperatives located in Trenggalek Regency. In the process of providing loans (credit) at KSU Mekar Jaya, they still apply a manual system by checking the terms and then conducting interviews. For decision making on lending (credit) in the current system, it is only based on the opinion of the chairman of the cooperative from the results of interviews supported by the amount of collateral used, without having to make an assessment and consideration of other important criteria. So it can be said that KSU Mekar Jaya applies weak procedures in analyzing loans (credit) to loan applicants and the ineffectiveness of policies in providing loans that can harm cooperatives and have an impact on the sustainability of the cooperative's nose. From these problems, cooperatives need an system with the ability to provide recommendations to cooperatives with calculations and analysis of the established criteria so that they can support decision making in determining lending in the form of a decision support system. With the use of the Weighted Product (WP) algorithm in the decision support system in this study, it is expected to be the right calculation mechanism to find prospective borrowers who are eligible for loans. The results of this study are a web-based decision support system by implementing the Weighted Product (WP) algorithm which serves to provide recommendations to cooperatives in determining customers who are eligible for loans. From the implementation of the weighted product algorithm on the system test, the calculation results are the same as manual calculations.
