ABSTRACT YELLOW JOURNALISM ON ONLINE MEDIA TRIBUNNEWS.COM JATIM ABOUT COVID-19 NEWS EDITION MAY 2021- JANUARY 2022 Mahindra Ade Cahyani 17240563 The title of this research is "YELLOW JOURNALISM ON ONLINE MEDIA TRIBUNNEWS.COM JATIM ABOUT COVID-19 NEWS EDITION MAY 2021-JANUARI 2022". This research tries to analyze the news how the form of its application is in accordance with the journalistic code of ethics. Sensational titles in online media are a strategy so that readers are interested in seeing and opening links in titles. For the strength of the sensational element in attracting the attention of readers, the media uses sensation techniques and so can seem redundant and can create an attraction for reading. For the method used is qualitative with content analysis techniques, looking at the news words produced. And according to Tribunnews researchers, they often try to trick readers with a technique called the sensation technique, even though the excessive reporting of the facts actually greatly affects the perception of the people who read the news.
