- This study aims to examine the economic development oriented to agriculture, industry, trade and services that lead to achievement of both national and regional level to be more increased. It can be seen on variables such as revenues, employment, and value-added as a proportion of the country earlier in the economic structure and the structure of the regional economy for a certain period. This research was conducted with the Shift Share Analysis methods with techniques that are useful in analyzing the changes in the economic structure of the economy compared with the Karawang regency, West Java province. The purpose of this shift share analysis is to determine the performance or productivity of the economy by comparing the Karawang regency of West Java Province. The results showed that the sector which has a value of PB <0 is the sector of agriculture, mining and quarrying and transport and communications sector this means these sectors, including sectors that are growing in the district karawang relatively sluggish. Then the Karawang regency government should also prioritize the sector as well as for the economy of the Karawang regency getting up.
