The first step in writing this thesis was collecting the data by the writer, analyzed the data, and presented the data descriptively. In writing this theses, the writer discussed, ‘Relasi Makna Polisemi Verba Kakaru dalam Bahasa Jepang’. The writer chose the title because kakaru verbs that have more than one meaning, kakaru verbs make many errors in its use. Kakaru has 12 meanings and each meaning of interconnected. In analyzing the polysemy verbs Kakaru used 3 figure of speech, that figure of speech metonymy, metaphor and sinekdoke. Keywords: Polysemy, Verbs, Kakaru
