EKSTRAKSI DAUN MIMBA (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) dan DAUN MINDI (Melia azedarach) untuk UJI KANDUNGAN azadirachtin MENGGUNAKAN SPEKTROFOTOMETER Extraction of Mimba’s Leaves (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) and Extraction of Mindi’s Leaves (Melia azedarach) for Azadirachtin Test using Spectrophotometer

- Spectrophotometry is one of the instrumental analysis method that uses the basic interaction of energy and matter. Spectrophotometry can be used to determine the concentration of a solution through the absorption intensity at certain wavelengths. The wavelength used is the maximum wavelength which gives maximum absorbance. One of the spectrophotometer working principle is based on the phenomenon of absorption of light by certain chemical species in the ultraviolet and visible light (visible). Mimba (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) and Mindi (Melia azedarach) are some examples of leaves that have many benefits in the treatment. However, based on the research behind this to some experts say that the two leaves can be used as an organic pesticide. This is related to the high cost of chemical pesticides used by farmers. This lab uses the tool Spectonic Genesys 20 Visible Spectrophotometer. The working principle of this tool is based on the phenomenon of light absorption by specific chemical species in the area of visible light (visible). Ekstarksi method used is soklet method, in which neem leaves and leaf extract mindi taken for testing absorbance, transmitasi and concentration. The higher the concentration, the content of his Azadirachtin also high. The content of Azadirachtin in use as a natural insecticide to eradicate walang rice pest on plants. For the reference solution, it can be concluded that the smaller the transmittance of the solution, the greater the absorbance, the two have a relationship which is inversely proportional. Based on experiments on measuring the absorbance vs. wavelength linear regression obtained on neem leaf extract: for variable 1 is y = -0,0005x + 0.3764; 2 variable is y = -0,0009x + 0.6624; and three variables, namely y = -0,0013x + 0.971. As for the leaves mindi: for variable 1 is y = -4E-05x + 0.2354; 2 variable is y = -0,0002x + 0.1778; 3 variables which -0,0002x + y = 0.1758. Keywords: spectrophotometry, mimba leaf and mindi leaf, extraction, natural insecticides.
