  • Spectrophotometer is an instrument used to measure the absorbance of a solution. The principle works is by passing light with specific wavelengths in the sample in the cuvette. The light will be absorbed and the rest will be missed. Value absorbance of light that is passed will be proportional to the concentration of the solution in the cuvette. In this study, does validate method of analysis glucose with visible spectrophotometer, was then used for analysis of glucose content in guava (Psidium Guajava). Glucose is a monosaccharide which has six carbon atoms containing aldehyde groups. From these results it can be concluded that the greater of ratio F/S at the same heating temperature, then the glucose concentration will decrease, so does the level of glucose in the sample. For warming temperatures, higher heating temperature, the higher glucose concentration, as well as the levels of glucose in the sample. Percent average error contained in the two variables, each of which is equal to 19.72% and 30.8%. Keywords: Spectrophotometer visible, glucose, Psidium Guajava, Content.
