- There are sources for our base of thought in the development of communication theories, which we alredy learned. Those source are known as the blue print of communication theory, a therm that generally associated with perspective genre or traditional of thought. The blueprint of communication theory, that was historically a product of Western intelectual thought, is still pertinent as the basis of communication scholastics in Indonesia. An Estern thought in communication is emerging however, as research and studies were conducted and developed by communication scientiests from China, Japan, and Korea. Yet smiliar effort to discover the ‘distinctive, local, indigenous color’ of communication studies in Indonesia have not shown significant progress. Our scientific exercises are merely to verify the Western thinking on communication.
