- The dependence of Indonesian people from rice as main food rice is very high. It was threatened national food security. Every year, Indonesia rice consumption increases while domestic production of rice tends to fluctuation. Climate anomaly is one factor causes rice production decreases, whereas paddy need more treatment than other food crops. Paddy consume more fertilizer than other food crops, like corn, yam, or green beans. It is costly if this food crops is damaged by climate uncertainty. Some of strategy to face this situation are quick response to climate change issues, mitigation steps, and adaption. Furthermore, Indonesia should prepare other food crops as alternative of main food.
