- Vinasse are unused liquid waste from bioethanol industry. Vinasse can be processed into biogas by anaerobic fermentation. This research was conducted to study the effect of nutrient and starter adding. Urea used for nutrient and rumen for microorganism source . A vinasse put in to a biodigester, mixed with nutrients and starter according to the variables: nutrients (0%, 5%, 10%) and for starters (5% and 10%) for 32 days. Respon of this research is measuring the biogas production. The results of this study shows that vinasse can be used as a raw material of biogas by fermentation. There are time where biogas production increased, but also in constant state, even decreased. The more added urea, the less biogas production. The more added rumen, the less biogas production.
