- Smoking is men's habit whereas smoking can reduce health dan family welfare. Government will increase tariff excise so that behatior of smokers improve. And than, Muhammadiyah declares afatwa that smoking is illicit. This result aims to analys the influence ofprice, income, age, education, excise and fawa to behwior of cigarette consumers. It needs primary and secondary data. This research uses stratified random sampling and statistical re gre s s i on Partial test result indicates that variables price, income, age and education significantly affect cigarette consumption. Variables of excise andfatwa no significant. Based on F test concluded that together the yariables price, income, age, education, excise and fatwa significantly influence consumer behqvior cigarettes in the city of Semarang. R' : 0.79013151 mean R'of 79 percent variation of consumer behovior in the city of Semarang, cigarettes can be explained byvqriations in explanatory variables. The remaining 2I percent are influenced by otherfactors outside the model. To increase the degree of economicwelfure of central government andlocal communities are expectedto continue to increase the price of cigarettes on a regular basis, to provide awareness for active smokers through a rigorous appeals, giving product samples of food / beverage an ffictive substitute for cigareftes.
