  • The decreasing amount of crude oil supply effects the people to find another alternative fuel. Such as using the alternative fuel of LPG(liquified petroleum gas). This final project used of Rimco motorcycle to find out how much the impact of the alternative fuel of LPG in accordance with the metal content and the lubricant oil viscosity. The lubricant test is the most effective method to avoid the damage on machine equipments. The method applied to find out the level of metal contamination is by using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer), and to find out the viscosity level of lubricant oil is by using Viscotester VT – 01. From the research, it is known that by using LPG as a fuel, the metal contamination increases and the viscosity of lubricant oil increases to be compared with the one without gasoline. So it is concluded that the alternative fuel of LPG deserves to be recommended. Key words : Gasoline, LPG(Liquified Petroleum Gas), metal content, viscosity.
