- Waste of coconut tree have a lot of used to many product. Both local or abroad. Coconut dust is part of coconut tree waste which is usually used just as a media in farming. Look from this reality, a research is needed to expand of using area, especially in engineering. This research is about description of thermal conductivity value from coconut dust with influence from density and temperature changing. Test is doing with four solided coconut dust with glue and pressed with 10, 15, 20, and 25 bar. All of these specimen is tested in the insulation and heated by a heater on the one side. The heater temperature which used is 55°C, 65°C, 75°C, dan 85°C. The result of the thermal conductivity value test is that the thermal conductivity value is raising with density decrease. Specimen which has pressed with haigest preassure ( 25 bar ) have thermal conductivity in range 1,1 W/m°C - 0,9 W/m°C pada temperature 55°C,65°C,75°C, dan 85°C . And specimen which has pressed with lowest preassure have thermal conductivity in range 1,7 W/m°C - 1,6 W/m°C. And it decrease when temperature increase.
