- This study aims to analyze and provide empirical evidence about the effect of quality motivation, career motivation, and economic motivation on student interest in accounting to follow PPAK education. The hypothesis (1) There are positive effects of motivation on the quality of student interest in accounting to follow PPAK education, (2) There is positive influence of career motivation of student interest in accounting to follow PPAK education, and (3) There are positive effects of the economic motivation to student interest in accounting to follow PPAK education. This study used 100 students majoring in accounting UNDIP S1 which is still active until the academic year 2009/2010, both from the regular morning and evening regularly. Samples obtained by incidental sampling method. The research data obtained by using a questionnaire and then analyzed with multiple regression analysis. The results are (1) The first hypothesis is accepted because there is a positive influence of the motivational quality of student interest in accounting to follow PPAK education, (2) The second hypothesis was accepted because there is a positive influence of career motivation of student interest in accounting to follow PPAK education, and (3 ) The third hypothesis was accepted because there are positive effects of the economic motivation of student interest in accounting to follow PPAK education.
