- This study aims to examine the influence of personal background, political background, budgeting knowledge members of DPRD and understanding members of DPRD on Rules, Policies and Procedures towards the capability members of DPRD on region financial oversight (APBD). This research is motivated by the fact that individual background will effect to individual behavior on political activity. Independent variables in this research are personal background, political background, budgeting knowledge members of DPRD and understanding member of DPRD on Rules, Policies and Procedures. Dependent variable are the capability members of DPRD on region financial oversight (APBD). The data in this research consist of primary data that taken from questionaires distributed directly to respondents. The collected are from 102 respondents that members of DPRD at ex Semarang Residence. Hipothesis of this study are examine by using Multiple Linear Regression. The result of this study indicaed that’s, first, personal background political have positive and not significant influence toward the capability members of DPRD on regional financial oversight (APBD) with p value = 0,104 and coefficient regression are = 0,199. Second, political background have negative and not significant influence towards the capability members of DPRD on region financial oversight (APBD) with p value = 0,349 and coefficien regression are = -0,084. Third, budgeting knowledge members of DPRD have positive and significant influence toward the capability members of DPRD on regional financial oversight (APBD) with p value = 0,000 and coefficient regression are = 0,531. Fourth, understanding members of DPRD on Rules, Policies and Procedures have positive and significant influence toward the capability members of DPRD on regional financial oversight (APBD) with p value = 0,000 and coefficient regression are = 0,039.
