- The dependence of hinterland or sub-urban area toward Semarang remains high. It is proven by more commuters in almost all sub-urban areas in Semarang. One interesting node is the commuters from southern Semarang. This area is interesting to study because of the availability of public transportation for inter-city transport from Solo-Semarang as well as its influence triggering the increasing of commuters to Semarang.
