- Broiler is an important livestock commodity. The cycle of broiler livestock is faster than other livestock. This condition makes broiler livestock has a good prospect, not only from the aspect of demand, but also from the aspect of selling price. In expansion, the broiler rancher meets some problems such as the price of production factors (seeds, feed, vaccine)that always go up and price of broiler product is fluctuate. The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency level of the use of production factors broiler livestock in Magelang regency which comprises of technical, price and economic efficiency. Random sampling is used to gather sampling that amount to 73 respondents. Stochastic frontier production function and test of return to scale are methods to analyze the data. This study concludes the inefficiency of the use of production factors at the study area. This is indicated by the value of technical efficiency, 0,94, price efficiency value is 9,349, and economic efficiency value is 8,788. The broiler livestock in Magelang regency is not efficien yet. In this study, test of return to scale (RTS) is 1,009. This value shows that broiler livestock is increasing return to scale (IRS) condition, so with this condition broiler livestock is proper or suitable to develop.
