  • Casting is the process to molten metal then pouring this molten metal to mould. In casting we can also alloying two or more element of metal. Casting process of aluminum and copper alloy with composition of 4%, 10% and 33% copper. The research was held by doing casting with gavity casting method. The permanent mold casting was made by the two different shape of product, the first is log and the second is cylinder. All of the shape has been made by the equal the volume of metal casting product. After we finished the casting we doing some test for the product which is spectrometry test, strength test, hardness test, and micrography. The result obtained from the hardness test showed that in aluminum alloy with 33% copper is harder compared to aluminum with 4% and 10% copper. And the tensile strength test also showed that aluminum alloy with higher composition of copper will have more tensile strength than aluminum alloy with less composition of copper.
