Industrial Management</subject><description>Per elitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur peranan industri keel dalam perekonomian di propinsi Jawa Tengah. Peranan tersebut meliputi : daya serap tenaga kerja, kontribdsinya terhadap PDRB, multiplier pendapatan serta mengestimasi hubungan antara variabel jumlah unit usaha dan nilai produksi terhadap jumlah tenaga kerja yang terserap di inmstri kecil. Informasi tersebut akan berguna bagi aparat pemerintah daerah dalam perumusan kebijakan serta pihak-pihak lain yang membutuhkannya.&#xD; Data yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah data tahunan runtut waktu periode observe5i 1979 &#x2014; 2002. Model estimasi yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda yang ditransformasil:an ke bentuk logaritma.&#xD; Basil pengukuran peranen industri kecil dalam perekonomian adalah sebagai berikut : pertama, untuk daya scrap tenaga kerja mengalami penurunan, meskipun secara kuantitatif jumlah tenaga kerja yang diminta selalu naik seiring dengan kenaikan jumlah unit usahanya. Kedua, kontribusi industri kecil terhadap PDRB masih sangat kecil, karena nilai produksinya rendah. Ketiga, multiplier pendapatan dan industri kecil di daerab masih sangat rendah, meskipun industri kecil di daeran yang bersangkutan termasuk sebagai sektor yang dominan. Keempat, hasil regresi dari model estimasi memmiukkan bahwa baik variabel unit usaha dan variabel nilai produksi secara statistik signifikan. Namun variabel unit usaha berpengaruh secara positif sedangkan variabel nilai produksi berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di industri kecil.&#xD; &#xD; The objective of this research is to measure the participating of small industries on economy in Central Java Province. The participating are to absorption of manpower, contribute in PDRB, income multiplier and to estimate the model about relationship between many firms and value of products with many of manpower to work in small industries.&#xD; The information above may be used for government as well as to policy maker and the others whose interest its. The data used in this research are annual time series of 1979 &#x2014; 2002. The basic model in this research is a multiple regression that has been transformed in the logarithms model.&#xD; The results on the measurement of participating of small industries in economy are : first, the absorption on manpower is low, although in quantitative increase in demand for manpower with the rising in many firms. Second, small industries contribute to PDRB still low, because the value of products is low too. Third, income multiplier of the regional small industries was be low, although this small industries are dominant on the region. Fourth, the result on estimation model show that the many firms and value of products are significant.
