  • Previous research has shown that the role of manager financial management influences performance (public service), but has not explained the role of manager financial management influence on managerial performance in government organizations with the added variable of organizational commitment as an independent variable. Therefore, this study conducted to investigate the effect of organizational commitment and role of manager financial management on managerial performance Tegal District Government. This research could be used as a reference in the implementation of local financial management and organizational commitment. Collecting data using primary data collection, is the questionnaire by using purposive sampling technique. Data obtained from three-and four-echelon employees who work in Tegal District Government. Methods for analyzing the data using regression. The result of the conclusions of this study suggest organizational commitment affect the performance and role of manager financial management influence on performance. This research is only a qualitative measure performance based on employee perceptions. It is expected that the performance assessment at the next observation is supported by quantitative data such as LAKIP each SKPD.
