- The objective of this research is to deeply understand the influence of the workshop of the guidance for understanding and implementing Paecasila (P-4) on the political behavior at the coastal community at Pemahmg Regency. To xhieve this objective, forty people who have followed the workshop were interviewed. Addthooally, in-depth interview was conducted with important figures, such as religious and community leaders. The research shows that 55% (22) of the respondent consider that We workshop is %wry useful while the rest acknowledge that it is useful. The positive response of majority of the respondent is proved by their political (voting) behavior. Seventy percents (2S) cf the respondent used their rights to vote and participate in election campaign, twenty-seven percents and half or 11 of' the respondent used their voting rights only and the rest did not use their rights to vote and evolved in election campaign. In addition this research indicates that the influence of the workshop will be stronger if it is complemented by religious education. This means that the harmonious implementation of P-4 workshop and religious education will bring positive influence upon community's political behavior.
