- Today, Internet which was more likely a giant library with the website as the book, has become a need in information world. Besides of Internet as the media of information, any learning method could be done in the internet by forming the material of learning or the media of learning itself, any aspect was also needed to be taken to fulfill the user’s needs and reach the goal’s of learning. The process of Learning based on multimedia or the website could help and eased user’s need. The user could take the information which is given already. In this final project, writer built a part of internet infrastructure, that was a web server and ftp server, so that website page could be open anywhere around the world. In this final project, web server used the Apache, and the ftp server used the proftdp. Both of them run in the operating system of Linux Ubuntu server 8.10. One of main idea will also described configuration of the apache and proftp,, so that it could be run according to the need. The study case of web sever and ftp server on this final project was to serve the system of virtual laboratory online in PSD III of electrical engineering, Diponegooro University.
