The Comparative Study of Kaba Minangkabau and The Drama Script of Malin
Kundang by Wisran Hadi”. The aim of this research was to describe the
transformation of text and the reception by Wisran Hadi toward the story of Malin
Kundang.
Based on that aim, this research used a comparative method, supported with
the theory of literature’s reception. Comparing the two texts resulted in the finding of
the transformation and the reception toward the story of Malin Kundang.
The result of this research showed that the transformation happenned with the
aspect of structure and contain of text. This transformation of the contain of text
showed the reception by Wisran Hadi towards the story of Malin Kundang.

Penelitian ini berjudul Transformasi Kaba ke Naskah Drama : Studi
Komparatif Kaba Minangkabau dan Naskah Drama Malin Kundang karya Wisran
Hadi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat transformasi dan resepsi Wisran Hadi
terhadap cerita Malin Kundang.
Sesuai dengan tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode
perbandingan dan didukung dengan teori resepsi sastra. Dari perbandingan kedua teks
ditemukan adanya transformasi dan resepsi terhadap cerita Malin Kundang.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa transformasi terjadi pada aspek
struktur dan isi teks. Adanya transformasi isi teks menunjukkan adanya resepsi
