- Oil is triglyceride which structured on three fatty acid units, forms liquid at room temperature ( 25°C). Cooking oil produced from palm oil if applied repeatedly will be consist of destruction prosess or damage of oil which caused by oxidation process and hot temperature. This research aims to increase quality of waste cooking oil to can be applied again in order not to generate loss from health aspect of man and area and to know operation of optimum condition (good relative condition) at adsorption process from waste cooking oil using activated carbon. The result of initial research indicates that activated carbon weight and temperature is variable having an effect. Optimum condition (good relative condition) obtained at weight 20 g activated carbon/1 kg waste cooking oil and temperature 95 o C, with achievement of acid number 1.24; absorbance 0.715 and water content 0.4 %.
