- Nyamplung oil is either one of many kind of vegetable oil which can used as kerosene. Remember that kerosene supply in Indonesia will be almost left, nyamplung oil is very potential for solving the kerosene scarcity. Research of oil removal from nyamplung seed is using 2 methods, they are mechanic method (pressing) and chemist method (extraction). The purpose of the research are to know oil yield obtained, to know the effect of F/S extraction to oil yield, to know it characteristics by density, heating value and composition of the oil. Research can get maximum yield by 60% from mechanic and chemist methods at F/S extraction 1:5,T=550C.
