  • Due to the changing roles of Human Resource (HR), Zhejiang Province Forestry Industry Co.Ltd needs to evaluate its HR strategies in the production department. This research aims to help them ensuring the effectiveness of HR strategies in its production department by using the HR Value Proposition (HRVP), gathered primary data by conducting in-depth interview with CEO and HR Manager of the company and distributing questionnaires to 1% employees in the production department. The data is analyzed using paired t-test, scatter plot, and descriptive analysis. The results revealed that HR strategies has fulfilled some HRVP?s criteria: knowing external business realities, HR practice and investor value? linkage , HR practice and customer values? linkage, empowering line managers, value added work flow, HR investment and business goals? linkage, HR roles deliverable. The HR strategies has not meet criteria: linkage between HR strategy and business strategy, employee value deliverable, value added people process, effective performance management clear information flow, competencies deliverable, effective training and development for HR professional. To improve those aforementioned criteria, HR department needs to manage its work flow issue, differentiating low and high performance workers, communicating strategy to employees, and improve the quality of training and development of HR professional.
