- The research is about fitness center on researching what factors that affecting consumers in choosing fitness center. Recently, overweight and obesity had increasing rapidly, which World Health Organization stated it happen in most countries over the world. In 1980 the number of overweight and obesity are bellow lo%, but today on 2010 the number is more than 50% of the total population in a country is being overweight. This trends are caused by the unhealthy diet and decreasing physical activity due to the changing in lifestyle. This fact had trigger the fitness industry to develop very well today especially on the fitness center business which also known as gym, health club or sports club. As in Indonesia the industry is began to growing, therefore the author do a research on analyzing factors that influence consumers decision making on choosing fitness center by using factor analysis method. That later on new sixteen components are formed as the new factors as the determining factors on how consumers choose a fitness center.
