Signs and symbols</subject><description>This study aimed to know the meaning of AXIS advertising "Budi handuk&#xD; in the trial so confession cheap" on Television.&#xD; The theory used in this research is a sign system theory, using an&#xD; approach to semiotics Charles Sanders Peirce. Qualitative descriptive method&#xD; used to know the meaning of the overall advertising AXIS version of "Budi&#xD; handuk in the trial so confession cheap" on Television.&#xD; Semiotic analysis method that divides a system of signs into icons,&#xD; indexes, and symbols. Referring also John Fiske semiotic analysis that divides the&#xD; film (advertising) into several main levels namely at the level of reality and&#xD; representation. So that researchers can interpret all the elements (talent, setting,&#xD; wardrobe, scene, slogan / tagline, camera angel, sound / voice, etc.)&#xD; Based on the analysis of signification ad researchers AXIS version of&#xD; "Budi handuk in the trial so confession cheap" on television with Peirce's semiotic&#xD; approach, it can be concluded: In the visualization of these ads are clearly contain&#xD; elements of satire and shows that the AXIS participate in the phenomenon of fare&#xD; wars between providers .
