- This research aims to determine the ability of adsorption by banana peel adsorbent in reducing Cu metal, and determine the isotherm of adsorption model of banana peel against Cu metal. Banana peel is carbonized with a furnace at 350 ° C for 30 minutes until it becomes carbons. With a size of 100 mesh and activator using 1 N hydrochloric acid with soaking process for 48 hours. In this research, batch method using shaker and industrial waste electroplating. Variations used include variations of adsorbent mass (gram): 2, 2.5, 3, 3,5, 4 and stirring speed (rpm): 50, 100, 150, 200, 250. Parameters analyzed in this research are Cu contained in the waste. The results showed that the optimum condition of adsorption for banana peel adsorbent was 4 gram at 200 rpm stirring speed. The adsorption isotherms follow the Langmuir isotherms with an adsorption capacity of 1.773 mg/g. The ability of banana peel adsorbent to decrease the concentration of copper (Cu) in electroplating waste with the highest allowance percentage is 81,78%
