  • The hospital smell WWTP outlet fluctuated in the treatment room smelled even in the hospital parking lot. Based on observations and interviews with officers and the patient's family on March 20 to 29, 2009 in the treatment room closest to the WWTP they are inhaled the pungent smell, complained of dizziness and nausea. Under these conditions some officers run faster and resist not breathe for a few seconds, especially when crossing the room around the WWTP. The results of the initial inspection parameter dated March 30, 2009 are not eligible referred East Java Governor Decree No. 61, 1999, include: chlorine-free, BOD, COD, NH3, NH4, H2S. This study aims to calculate the average efficiency of the WWTP in reduced chemical parameters NH3, NH4, H2S. The research method was a descriptive study aims to conduct a description of risk factors and effects / results. Composite sampled with sampling, sample taken at the reactor inlet and outlet for five consecutive days at the same hour that is: at 09.00 am.
