- PT. Gunawan Dianjaya Steel, Tbk is producer of carbon steel plate in Indonesia. The one of their product is steel plate hot rolled, but in production process still have defect, there are rolling process, cutting process, and finishing. The research in PT. Gunawan Dianjaya Steel, Tbk is analyzed by seven tools and kaizen application on maintain of product quality and reduce waste (defect) Based on research result, on production process during 3 month. There is 0,23% rolling damage, 0,82% cutting damage, and 0,13% finishing damage, the most damage is in cutting process about 76 sheets of steel plate with defect percentage 0,82%. For reducing waste is recommended to reducing defect in PT. Gunawan Dianjaya Steel, Tbk needs increase supervision to employee and machine maintenance or toolskit and needs training for increase ability of employee in this company.
